D. Robinson LF -- 1-4 RS, SB(1), CS(1), K, S
Gio 2B -- 2-5 RBI(1), RS, K
C. Robinson 1B -- 3-5 3 RS, 2 2B(2)
Kouzmanoff 3B -- 2-4 3 RBI(3), 2 2B(2), E
Lough RF -- 2-4 RS, RBI(1), K, CS(1), 1 HBP
M. Ramirez DH -- 1-4 2 RBI(2), 2K
Abreu SS -- 1-4 RBI(1), E
Clark C -- 1-3 BB, (0-2 CS)

6-17 RISP 10 LOB

Jiggy (W. Smith) -- 3IP, 4 H, 2 R 1 ER, 2 K, 6 BB
Hollingsworth -- 2.2 IP, 3H, 1 ER, 1 K, 2 BB, 2 WP
Jeffress  -- W (1-0), 2 IP, 1 H, I ER, 1 K, 1 BB, 1 HRA
Hottovy -- H (1), 1 IP, 2 K, 1 BB, 1 HBP
Coleman -- S (1), 1/3 IP 1 K (3 pitches)

Every starter had a hit in a nice Opening Day win for the Chasers. Will Smith had trouble throwing strikes and got out of trouble in each inning. The back end of the bullpen looked good with Jeffress, Hottovy, and Coleman combining for 3 1/3 1R ball. Gio and the Crime Dog (C-Robinson) picked up where they left off last year and the order combined for 15 hits in a balanced attack. Most speed I've seen in the 1-2 spots of a lineup...

Mike Parisi had a decent start for the Isotopes but the Chasers really got to the bullpen. Castellanos had a 3B and a couple SB and Scott van Slyke homered off Jeffress in the 8th. Threatened all game but couldn't put an inning together outside of the 2nd.

Isotopes 5, Chasers 2

Dyson CF -- 2-4 RS, SB(2),
D-Rob LF -- 1-4 2K,
Gio -- 0-4 Nada
C-Rob -- 0-2 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HBP
Kouzmanoff DH -- 1-4 2B, RBI(4), K
Lough RF -- 0-4 Nada except Assist at 1B (1)
Abreu SS -- 3-4 3B, HR(1), RBI(1) Double short of cycle
Clark C -- 0-3 Nada except a PB(1)
Falu 3B -- 0-3 Nada

1-9 RISP 6 LOB

Mazzaro --  6 IP 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K, PO(1)
O'Sulivan -- 1/3 IP, 5 H, 4ER, 2 HRA (Noone claimed him??? Really???)
Sisk -- 1 1/3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4K
Colon -- 1 1/3, 1 BB

Great start by Mazzaro, ruined by O'Sullivan. Omaha had a 2-run lead going into the 7th when Mr. O'Sullivan proved to the world why he didn't get claimed. Gave up two jacks, Van Slyke's second and Fedorowicz's first. Sisk showed great stuff and gave up a run on a slight misplay by D-Rob in left. Colon was solid. Abreu was a bright spot in the lineup coming close to a cycle but the Isotope Staff did a great job limiting any damage. Omaha only 2 BB in 2 games...

ON Deck -- Rubber match Adcock v Fife

0-7 RISP 11 LOB

Dwyer -- L (0-1) 4 1/3 IP, 2H, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 5K, E, Fine start
Pimental -- 2/3 IP, 3H, 4R, 4ER, 1 BB, 1 HBP
Paukovits -- 1 IP, 2H, 3R/0ER, 1BB, 1K
Baumann -- 2IP, 2H, 3K

5 errors and no situational hitting did in the Nats, as Corpus Christi scored 4 unearned runs on 9 total hits.
Dwyer looked like he did last year, great stuff questionable control. Elisaul and Tim got roughed up a bit though Paukovits looked ok just had crappy D behind him. Myers had a couple great at bats and Navarro looked pretty comfortable at the plate, but the was about it for offense.

4-6-12

NW Arkansas 5 -- Corpus Christi 3

Navarro 2B -- 1-5 2B
Colon SS -- 1-5
Myers RF -- 2-5 HR(1), RBI(1), 2 R, K, SB(1), GIDP

Hardy -- 3IP, 3H, 2R/2ER, 3K, 1 HRA
Keating -- 1 IP, 2H, IER, BB

A great start and timely hitting for NW Ark got the job done Friday as Odorizzi looked pretty dominant, and Myers and Lisson went yard for the Nats first win of the 2012 campaign. Hardy and Keating got hit a little bit in relief but limited damage. CC 1B Kody Hinze homered off Hardy in the 8th for Hardy's only runs allowed. Myers also added a single, steal and run scored in the winning effort.

0-5 RISP 9 LOB

Sample -- 4 2/3 IP, 3H, 3R/3ER, BB, 5K, 2HRA, HBP 2nd rd pick looking very similar to last yr
Melgarejo -- 1 1/3 IP, 5H, 3R/3ER, 2 BB, 1 HRA, Balk
Runion -- 2 IP, 2H, 2K Nice outing from 07 2nd rounder

The Blue Rocks struck out 13 times in a 0 run effort on Friday. Sample pitched adequate, but two of his hits allowed went yard. Melgarejo pitched it out of reach getting lit in his 1st outing of the season. Thomas Tells hit 2 homers and Josh Richmond added one of his own, as 4 Myrtle Beach pitchers aided in the shut out.

On Deck -- Myrtle Beach today @7 Adam v Mendez

I'll update today and Kane County games tonight.
